Egyptian industrial technology startup Simplex, a specialist in the assembly and manufacturing of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines, has officially inaugurated its newest production facility in 10th of Ramadan City, representing a $50 million investment and a significant step in the company's expansion strategy.

The new factory spans 40,000 square meters and was inaugurated during a ceremony attended by senior government officials, diplomats, business leaders, investors, and international partners.

Among the attendees was Egyptian Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk, alongside representatives of major investment institutions, government agencies, and diplomatic missions. Guests were welcomed by Simplex co-founders Ahmed Shaaban and Mohamed Mansour.

Strengthening Local Manufacturing Capabilities

During the event, attendees toured the new production facility, which showcases Simplex's continued investment in local manufacturing of CNC machines.

The visit included inspections of the company's latest production lines, assembly operations, and advanced manufacturing technologies. The company also officially unveiled its newest CNC machine, launching production under the "Proudly Made in Egypt" label.

The new facility becomes Simplex's second manufacturing plant, reinforcing its commitment to expanding Egypt's industrial capabilities.

Regional Expansion Gains Momentum

As part of its regional growth strategy, Simplex also signed new partnership and distribution agreements covering Jordan and Kuwait, further expanding the company's footprint across the Middle East.

The ceremony additionally featured the laying of the foundation stone for Simplex's third factory, highlighting the company's long-term investment plans and confidence in Egypt's manufacturing sector.

From Graduation Project to Global Manufacturer

Commenting on the milestone, Ahmed Shaaban, Founder and Chairman of Simplex, said the company's journey demonstrates what Egyptian entrepreneurs can achieve with the right support.

He noted that Simplex began as a university graduation project before evolving into a manufacturing company exporting to 34 countries, proving that Egyptian industrial innovation can compete globally.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Mansour, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer, said the company's vision is to become a leading global manufacturer of CNC machines, adding that the new expansion will help meet growing demand while strengthening its international presence.

Growing Into a Regional Industrial Leader

Over the years, Simplex has evolved into one of the region's prominent CNC manufacturers.

Today, the company employs more than 400 engineers, technicians, and administrative professionals, while serving over 4,523 customers in Egypt and international markets.

Simplex has generated cumulative sales exceeding $100 million, and the latest expansion is expected to create more than 1,000 direct jobs and over 10,000 indirect employment opportunities.

Boosting Production and Export Capacity

The new manufacturing facility is expected to deliver several strategic benefits for Egypt's industrial sector, including:
